The Daily Grind

I worked collaboratively with Pedro Meade to change a space that’s constantly observed and acknowledged, but often overlooked. The Evening Standard headline boards set a tone for the day and convey a message and state of mind to passing commuters. They are a physical manifestation of the news, which is updated regularly throughout the day, and
are one of the fastest changing print media in our environment.
Our aim was to engage the audience with humorous and interesting headlines that are never given the prestige of front page news. We want our alternative news headlines to make people smile, to turn heads and provoke thought. The posters are aimed at commuters and passers by, who make daily journeys into London and who are regularly exposed to the boards. Winner of the RCA / YCN Award 08/09
